The Role
Tally Health is looking for a senior full stack engineer to lead the development of Tally’s core customer facing web application. The candidate would join a small product engineering team as the most senior individual contributor to drive end to end feature development through requirements definition, system design and implementation.
The candidate would primarily be responsible for building features across the stack including both
web based UIs and APIs. They would collaborate closely with product and design leads to scope and architect new features as well support more junior engineers to ensure high quality and rapid delivery.
This position reports to Tally Health’s Head of Engineering, is open to remote-based candidates, and will require travel to Tally Health’s headquarters in New York as needed. You must be legally authorized to work in the US.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and extend reliable, scalable web APIs using REST and GraphQL.
- Maintain and extend robust UIs in React.
- Collaborate with technical and non-technical partners to scope feature requests, define clear requirements, document and design technical solutions.
- Lead more junior engineers through complex feature implementations through pairing, code reviews, and standards maintenance.
Minimum Qualifications
- 6+ years developing cloud native web applications
- Strong understand of software engineering design principles, patterns and best practices
- High level of proficiency with Typescript
- High level of proficiency in at least one variant of SQL
- Working proficiency in Python
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
