Senior Frontend Engineer (m/f/x)

Your Mission:

  • Together with your team, you seek to understand customers' problems and what they need, then deliver high quality software to solve those problems.
  • You work directly with UX/UI designers in your team through initial user flow sketching, prototyping with customers, and eventually bring their designs to life in the product.
  • You strive to deliver the best possible experience for our users by empowering them through an effective and intuitive UI.
  • You build features with a “you build it, you run it” mindset and are responsible for testing, deployment, and monitoring of your code.
  • You use your experience and act as a mentor to help your teammates grow, and are equally open to learning from them too.

Who you are:

  • You have a degree in Computer Science or a comparable field. We are open to an alternate career path as well.
  • You value communication skills (written and spoken), and can effectively manage discussions with your technical and non-technical colleagues alike
  • You bring several years of work experience as a Software Engineer and are more than ready for a new challenge.
  • You are knowledgeable about the web platform and understand how to utilise that in order to build scalable applications
  • You have experience in system design and how to maintain codebases within cross-functional teams.
  • You have an understanding of software testing, especially in testing frontend applications.
  • You have been part of an agile development team and have experience in collaborating with your teammates in the product management and design disciplines. You favor open communication, constant feedback and effective decision paths that optimise for learning.
  • You have a “never-stop-learning” attitude and a desire to develop and grow.
  • You are fluent in English (Level C1).

Nice to have:

  • You have worked in an agile development team with other disciplines (product management, design)
  • Familiarity with design systems (using or maintaining)
  • You value good frontend tooling to increase the Developer Experience for everybody.

What tools we use:

  • frontend: TypeScript/React with our own Design System called Bricks
  • frontend testing: Jest w/ React Testing Library, Playwright
  • frontend tooling: Webpack using ESbuild, ESLint, Prettier
  • backend: Python 3 (Django 4), FastAPI
  • infrastructure: AWS, Kubernetes
  • database: Postgres

How your first month will be:
