About The Role

As a Staff Engineer at POSH, you'll be a pivotal part of our engineering team, driving innovations that power our revolutionary platform. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, leveraging your technical expertise to enhance our system architecture, optimize our event management solutions, and scale our platform to meet the growing needs of our global user base. Your contributions will directly impact the POSH mission, setting new industry standards for how live experiences are managed and monetized.

Your Objective

Advance the technological backbone of POSH, ensuring a seamless, scalable, and secure experience for our users, from event organizers to attendees. Champion our mission to redefine the event industry by developing cutting-edge solutions that empower our community to easily create, manage, and profit from live experiences.

What You'll Do

  • Be a technical subject matter expert, provide technical leadership, and share your expertise with a growing team of engineers

  • Ship incrementally and continually at high velocity

  • Continuously raise our standard of engineering excellence by implementing and driving best practices for coding, testing, and deployment

  • Influence technology selections and trends of the whole company

Qualifications

  • Experience mentoring less-experienced developers

  • A strong sense of ownership and responsibility for the code you write and the solutions you implement.

  • 5-8+ years of professional experience in software engineering, with a proven track record of building and shipping high-quality software.

  • Extensive experience in TypeScript and Web Development, with a deep understanding of its best practices, advanced types, and performance optimization techniques.

  • Preferred experience in our technology stack - React, NoSQL MongoDB, Typescript, AWS, GCP

  • Proficiency in working with large-scale, low-latency distributed systems.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a passion for tackling complex technical challenges and driving real business impact.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and contribute to a positive, inclusive work environment.

Compensation

  • Salary: $170,000 - $220,000

  • Equity: .25-.5% vested over 4 years with a 1-year cliff

  • Benefits: Health & Dental Insurance, Equinox Membership, monthly company events, yearly off-site, and a relocation bonus of $5,000 for out-of-state candidates.
