Teero is a pre-seed, venture-backed startup based in Amsterdam focused on solving the number one problem all fast growing companies have: hiring. Founded by Nate Anderson and Christian Wicks, Teero is building ways for companies to leverage their network to build better teams and grow faster.
We’re here to approach things differently: no one is satisfied with the process of hiring at companies today. Through fast iteration and innovation, we’re finding ways to make hiring more enjoyable, faster, and cheaper for everyone involved.
While we are just getting started, we have a handful of exciting early customers including Uber Eats, Klarna and Beacon. We also have a few smaller startups with big ambitions onboard, as well as one currently in Y-Combinator at the moment.
The role is as one of the founding developers in our Teero engineering team. We’re looking for full-stack, front-end, and back-end software engineers. We’re looking for someone who is versatile: we’re going to be testing and iterating on a number of products over the next few months all aiming at solving the pains in hiring.
Depending on your skillset, you could potentially own large parts of our customer-facing web applications, our internal tooling, or our matching and recommendation algorithms.
We value motivated, hard-working individuals who want to learn, want to be challenged, and are excited about joining a company right at the beginning of its journey.
Bonus points if you’ve hired a team before! Understanding the pain points of hiring today is what we’re focused on to build a great product.
In this role, you’d have a chance to define our tech stack! We aim to have Typescript monorepo (Turborepo) for all frontend and backend code, but we’re open to having Go and Python in some parts of the stack. Core frameworks and libs we currently use:
We’re currently a team of three: Nate, Christian and Dmitry - our founding full stack engineer. Our backgrounds are from Uber, Google and a couple of Bay Area and European start-ups. We’re all based in Amsterdam.
The team is fun. We are builders and don’t take ourselves too seriously. We’re aiming big (we want to be the #1 spot all companies go to for top candidates!), and we’re building the foundation to make this happen.
You’ll report directly to Christian, one of our co-founders.
Don’t meet all of the role requirements? Don’t worry, we’d still encourage you to apply! We care about outcomes more than someone who meets all the specific requirements for the role!
