Job Title: Senior Software Engineer

Location: London Office (Leyton) or Remote

Reporting To: CTO

Department: Development team

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our software products. You will collaborate with other engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure that our software products meet high-quality standards and exceed customer expectations.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will lead technical initiatives, provide guidance to other engineers, and work closely with the development team to drive innovation and improve our software development process. You will also be responsible for keeping up with the latest industry trends and technologies, and applying them to our software products.

Job Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software products.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to coding standards.
• Write high-quality, maintainable, and scalable code.
• Applying refactorings in the codebase applying best practices and standards
• Writing unit tests to reach 95% coverage for every change
• Working on the frontend side when needed, ReactJS

Requirements

• Strong problem-solving skills
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science
• Ability to work independently
• Strong knowledge of software design patterns, algorithms, and data structures.
• Experience in Java
• Experience in test-driven development
• Experience in using git
• Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases
• Experience in web developing, both frontend and backend
• Knowledge of ReactJS
• Based in the UK (preferred) or in another European country

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS
• DevOps experience
• Experience with microservices architecture and containerization technologies, such as Docker or Kubernetes.
